Moringa, known as the “miracle tree”, is native to the southern Himalayas and its cultivation has spread to other parts of the world. The edible leaves are consumed in many countries of West Africa and parts of Asia. In Cuba, it is distributed throughout all the national territory because of its innumerable nutritional and therapeutic properties, which is why it could be considered one of the foods that contribute to well-being and the prevention of diseases due to its antioxidant effects.
